Data centre cabling crews in Manchester and the North West
The North West has real data centre capacity and a much thinner cabling labour market than the South. That gap is the reason programmes here slip.
Manchester and Salford carry a growing share of UK colocation and enterprise capacity, and the North West is where a lot of the newer regional workstreams are landing. What has not grown at the same rate is the pool of cabling engineers who have actually worked in a live data hall.
The result is familiar: a contractor wins the work, then spends three weeks trying to staff it, then either compresses the programme or takes people who have never seen a test pack rejected.
We supply crews into the region on a day rate from a register that is vetted in advance. If the North West bench is short, we move people in with travel and accommodation quoted openly rather than buried in the rate.
We travel to the work
Our register is national. A thin local market is not a reason to turn a Manchester job down or to staff it with whoever is nearest.
Copper and fibre
Cat6 and Cat6A install, termination and certification, MTP/MPO pre-terminated trunks, cassettes, fibre management and full test packs.
Racks and white space
Rack build, rack and stack, patching, cross-connects, containment, dressing and labelling to TIA-606.
Evidence, not promises
Fluke results, endface images, as-built mark-ups and a punch list closed before handover. The pack is the deliverable.
Supervision included
A working supervisor on site, not a crew that needs managing by your own staff.
White label
Your PPE, your site rules, your paperwork. We work behind your name and we do not approach your client.
Where we cover
Manchester, Salford, Trafford, Warrington, Liverpool, Leeds and the wider North West and Yorkshire, with travel and accommodation quoted openly where we move people in. London, the M4 corridor and the rest of the UK from the same register, plus mainland Europe with compliance handled in-house.
Questions we get asked
- Do you actually have people in the North West, or would you be moving them?
- Both, and we will tell you which. Where the local bench does not cover the job we move people in and quote travel and accommodation separately and openly rather than hiding it in a higher day rate.
- How quickly can a crew start in Manchester?
- Forty-eight hours from a confirmed rate, in writing. Where people are travelling, that is planned into the mobilisation rather than discovered on the first morning.
- Can you supply a supervisor as well as installers?
- Yes. Working supervisors and team leads are part of what we supply, so the crew does not have to be managed by your own staff on top of their own job.
- What size crews do you cover?
- From a single specialist to full crews. Where a programme needs volume quickly we mobilise in waves so the job starts without waiting for the full roster to clear induction.
- Will you approach our client?
- No. It is a term of our supply agreement rather than a promise.
