Every engineer works under a written agreement and a job schedule, and the terms reach you in writing before anyone travels.
The checks below are made before a name is put forward, whether we are supplying engineers to your team or delivering a package. The aim is an engineer who gets through your gate on the first morning.

Identity and right to work
Checked and recorded for every engineer, and checked again when a document nears expiry. For non-UK nationals we read the permit conditions as well as the permit: the printed conditions define what the holder may lawfully do.

Cards and tickets
ECS card type, pathway and expiry, plus the health and safety assessment date, which runs on its own clock. Datacomms cards stopped renewing on 1 January 2026, so cards are checked against the current Network Infrastructure scheme.

Trade competence
Evidenced by a reference from a site the engineer has worked. We ask the previous supervisor, and we record the answer.

Contracts
Every engineer under a written subcontractor agreement and a job schedule, with terms back to back to yours where your agreement requires it.

Cross-border pack
A1 certificates, posting declarations and local site cards: the Carte BTP in France, SOKA-BAU registration in Germany, and the equivalents elsewhere. Each is per person and per posting, and the last one to clear sets the team's start date.

Site-specific requirements
Medicals, working at height, IPAF and PASMA where the scope calls for them, and your induction and RAMS completed and sent back whole.

What happens if an engineer fails your client's induction?
We put forward a replacement with the same cards. Replacement terms are agreed in writing before anyone mobilises.
Which prequalification schemes do you hold?
Tell us which ones your supply chain asks for. Each comes back marked: held today, or in progress with a date. We do not claim a scheme before we hold it.
Who is responsible for the engineers on site?
It depends on the service. When we supply engineers, they work to your programme and your site manager, and we answer for their cards, right to work and replacement. When we deliver a package, our own site lead runs the work and we answer for the package to handover.
