What we do with your details.
Short version: we use what you send us to answer you and to put you forward for work. We do not sell it, and nothing is measured about your visit unless you agreed to it.
Who is responsible
The data controller is GO2DataWorks Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17038183, registered office 15 Dover Street, Maidstone ME16 8LF.
For anything on this page — a copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion — write to gotodataworks3@gmail.com. A person reads it, and we answer within one month as the law requires.
What we collect, and why
There are three forms on this site and two measurement tools. That is the whole list.
Enquiry form — name, company, email, message
Used to answer your enquiry: to come back with a rate, availability and whether we can cover the requirement. Kept so that a later conversation about the same site does not start from nothing.
Lawful basis: legitimate interests (responding to a business enquiry you sent us)
Engineer registration — name, phone, email, trade, certifications, location, reference
Used to assess whether we can put you forward for work, to verify your cards and references, and to contact you when something fits. If you are put forward for a specific job, the relevant details go to the client or main contractor for that site — we tell you before that happens.
Lawful basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in operating a supply business
Site chat — trade, location, cards, availability, headcount, start date, and the contact detail you give
The same two purposes as above, depending on which door you picked. It is a fixed set of questions, not a chatbot, and the answers are handled exactly like a form submission.

Google Analytics — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser, how you arrived
Used to see which pages produce enquiries and which produce nothing. Does not run at all unless you accept it.
Lawful basis: your consent
Apollo visitor identification — the network address of the visit, resolved to a company
Turns an anonymous visit from a business into a company name we can follow up. It is aimed at organisations, not at you personally, but it does store an identifier on your device — so it does not run unless you accept it. This tool also loads a third-party service (LiveIntent) which attempts to resolve a hashed email address for the visitor.
Lawful basis: your consent
Our host also keeps standard server and performance logs (network address, page requested, time, browser) for security and to see whether pages are loading properly. Those are retained under our host’s own policy, which you can read at netlify.com/privacy. We rely on legitimate interests for that, and it is not used to build a profile of you.
Cookies and similar storage
Nothing is stored on your device when you first arrive except the record of your own cookie choice, which is what remembers a refusal so you are not asked on every page.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets its _gacookies and the Apollo tracker stores an identifier in your browser’s local storage. Google advertising storage stays switched off in both cases — we do not run Google Ads and do not ask for it.
You can change your mind at any time using Cookie settingsin the footer of every page. Choosing Reject after having accepted deletes the cookies and stored identifiers we know these tools set — Google’s, Apollo’s and LiveIntent’s — and reloads the page so nothing carries on sending. If you want to be certain, clearing site data in your browser removes everything this site has stored, including the record of your choice.
Who else sees it
Netlify hosts this site and receives every form submission. Google processes the analytics. Apollo.io processes the visitor identification on our instructions. Those three act on our instructions, under our agreements with them.
In doing so, Apollo calls LiveIntent, a third party we have no direct contract with, which runs a hashed-email identity graph. We did not choose it and it is not our processor — it arrives inside Apollo’s tracker. It is named here because you are entitled to know it is there, and it does not load unless you accept.
If you register as an engineer, your details go to the client or main contractor for a specific site when you are put forward for it. That is the point of registering, and we tell you before we send anything.
Netlify and Apollo are United States companies, and LiveIntent, which Apollo reaches, is a United States company. Google contracts through Google Ireland Limited, with processing in the United States.
For Netlify, Google and Apollo the route out of the UK is each provider’s own data processing terms, which carry the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and, where the provider is certified, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We claim no such mechanism for LiveIntent, because we have no contract with them — which is another reason the visitor identification does not run unless you accept it.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not send marketing to engineers who registered for work.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry or an engineer registration while there is a live reason to hold it — an open conversation, or a registration you still want to stand — and we delete what is past that. If you ask us to delete your details sooner, we do it and confirm that we have.
Analytics data sits on our Google Analytics property under the retention period set there. Server logs sit with our host under the policy linked above.
We are moving to fixed periods — 24 months for enquiries and registrations, 14 months for analytics. This page will state them on the day they are actually in force and not a day earlier: a published period that is not applied is a promise already being broken, and that is worse than no period at all.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of what we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to what we do with it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent — analytics and visitor identification — you can withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing is as easy as giving it was.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first, but you do not have to.
Changes
If what we do with personal data changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. This version is dated 18 August 2026.
