What we do with your details.
Short version: we use what you send us to answer you and to put you forward for work. We do not sell it. We count visits ourselves, without cookies, to improve the site, and you can switch that off; anything that stores something on your device runs only if you agree.
Who is responsible
The data controller is GO2DataWorks Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17038183, registered office 15 Dover Street, Maidstone ME16 8LF.
For anything on this page: a copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion: write to gotodataworks3@gmail.com. A person reads it, and we answer within one month as the law requires.
What we collect, and why
The forms on this site, the site chat, our own visitor statistics, and two measurement tools that run only if you accept. That is the whole list.
Enquiry forms (contact, request engineers, send us the package, and Send it to GO2 in the tools): name, company, email, phone, message or the tool's summary
Used to answer your enquiry: to come back with a rate, availability and whether we can cover the requirement. Kept so that a later conversation about the same site does not start from nothing.
Lawful basis: legitimate interests (responding to a business enquiry you sent us)
Engineer registration: name, phone, email, trade, certifications, location, reference
Used to assess whether we can put you forward for work, to verify your cards and references, and to contact you when something fits. If you are put forward for a specific job, the relevant details go to the client or main contractor for that site: we tell you before that happens.
Lawful basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in operating a supply business
Site chat: what you type, including trade, location, cards, availability, headcount, start date, and the contact detail you give
The same two purposes as above, depending on which door you picked. The chat on desktop is answered by an AI model from Anthropic, which processes your messages on our behalf in the United States; it is told never to quote rates or name clients, and a person follows up. Each conversation is stored with our host (Netlify) so we can read it back, and when you leave contact details a short summary is sent to the founder by Telegram. There is no automatic deletion yet: conversations are kept until we delete them, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.

Apollo visitor identification: the network address of the visit, resolved to a company
Turns an anonymous visit from a business into a company name we can follow up. It is aimed at organisations, not at you personally, but it does store an identifier on your device, so it does not run unless you accept it. This tool also loads a third-party service (LiveIntent) which attempts to resolve a hashed email address for the visitor.
Lawful basis: your consent
When you send a form, a short alert with what you sent (your name, company, email, phone and what you asked about) is also sent to the founder’s private Telegram chat, so that we can reply quickly. Telegram (Telegram Messenger Inc.) keeps these messages on its servers, which may be outside the UK. Nobody else is in that chat.
Our host also keeps standard server and performance logs (network address, page requested, time, browser) for security and to see whether pages are loading properly. Those are retained under our host’s own policy, which you can read at netlify.com/privacy. We rely on legitimate interests for that, and it is not used to build a profile of you.
Visitor statistics
To see which parts of this website help people and which do not, we count visits ourselves, on our own website host (Netlify), without cookies. We record what happens on the site: which pages are viewed and how far down, which buttons are pressed (for example “Request engineers” or “Call”), what is done with a tool’s result (saved as a PDF or CSV, printed or shared, never its contents), whether a form was sent and whether it reached us (never what you wrote in it), and how fast the page loaded. With that we record the type of device (phone, tablet or computer), the language setting, a rounded screen width, the website that linked to this one, the name of our own campaign if you came from one of our links (or only the fact that you came from an advert), and the town, region and country your internet connection is in. That place is worked out by Netlify from your internet address at the moment of the visit, and it is often only approximate; we keep the names, never the address or anything more precise.
To count visitors without identifying anyone, our server combines your internet address and browser type with a random value that changes every day and is deleted within an hour of midnight, and keeps only the result. Your internet address and browser details are never stored. We keep these records for up to 35 days and the daily totals made from them for up to 13 months. We use them only to improve this website, on the basis of our legitimate interest in doing so, and we never use them for advertising. They stay with us and our website host.
If you accepton the cookie notice, your visits also carry a random visit ID of our own, kept in your browser’s local storage, so that we can see how one visitor’s visits fit together over time: how you first found us, which pages and tools you used on each visit, and whether it led to an enquiry. We keep only a scrambled (hashed) form of that ID, and nothing that says who you are, although if you then send us an enquiry, we may be able to tell which journey was yours. These journeys are kept for up to 13 months, on the basis of your consent. If you withdraw it, we delete the ID from your browser and remove your journey from our statistics within a day; the detailed daily records that still hold the scrambled ID delete themselves within 35 days.
You can switch the counting off altogether here (it saves one setting in your browser, only if you ask), or with your browser’s “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” setting; then no visit ID is kept either. Unless you accepted the visit ID, we never know which visits are yours, so we cannot find or delete one person’s visits; the detailed records delete themselves after 35 days.
Cookies and similar storage
Nothing is stored on your device when you first arrive except the record of your own cookie choice, which is what remembers a refusal so you are not asked on every page.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets its _gacookies, the Apollo tracker stores an identifier in your browser’s local storage, and we store our own visit ID there (g2dw-vid, 13 months from when it was made, with g2dw-consent-v, which notes that you accepted it). “Don’t count my visits” is remembered as g2dw-stats-off, only if you press it. Google advertising storage stays switched off in both cases: we do not run Google Ads and do not ask for it.
You can change your mind at any time using Cookie settingsin the footer of every page. Choosing Reject after having accepted deletes the cookies and stored identifiers we know these tools set: Google’s, Apollo’s, LiveIntent’s and our own visit ID, and reloads the page so nothing carries on sending.
If you want to be certain, clearing site data in your browser removes everything this site has stored, including the record of your choice.
Who else sees it
Netlify hosts this site, receives every form submission and stores our visitor statistics. Telegram carries the form alerts to the founder. Google processes the analytics. Apollo.io processes the visitor identification on our instructions. Those three act on our instructions, under our agreements with them.
In doing so, Apollo calls LiveIntent, a third party we have no direct contract with, which runs a hashed-email identity graph.
We did not choose it and it is not our processor: it arrives inside Apollo’s tracker. It is named here because you are entitled to know it is there, and it does not load unless you accept.
If you register as an engineer, your details go to the client or main contractor for a specific site when you are put forward for it. That is the point of registering, and we tell you before we send anything.
Netlify and Apollo are United States companies, and LiveIntent, which Apollo reaches, is a United States company. Google contracts through Google Ireland Limited, with processing in the United States.
For Netlify, Google and Apollo the route out of the UK is each provider’s own data processing terms, which carry the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and, where the provider is certified, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
We claim no such mechanism for LiveIntent, because we have no contract with them, which is another reason the visitor identification does not run unless you accept it.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not send marketing to engineers who registered for work.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry or an engineer registration while there is a live reason to hold it: an open conversation, or a registration you still want to stand, and we delete what is past that. If you ask us to delete your details sooner, we do it and confirm that we have.
Analytics data sits on our Google Analytics property under the retention period set there. Server logs sit with our host under the policy linked above.
We are moving to fixed periods: 24 months for enquiries and registrations, 14 months for analytics. This page will list them as our retention periods once they are applied, and not before.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of what we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to what we do with it, and to receive it in a portable format.
Where we rely on your consent, analytics, visitor identification and our visit ID, you can withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing is as easy as giving it was.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first, but you do not have to.
Changes
If what we do with personal data changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. This version is dated 19 October 2026.
